Plastic Recycling Workshops

Experience plastic recycling through injection molding

Injection moulding is one the most common plastic forming techniques in the industry. Cutlery, buckets and even chairs are produces with injection moulding. At our space you can experience plastic recycling with the Precious Plastic injector, a small-scale, manually operable injector. This works in combination with aluminium, steel or 3D-printed moulds.

The course lasts two hours. You will learn:

  • What is plastic waste found in household trash
  • What are the different recycling practices by the Precious Plastic Community
  • The possibilities and the limitations of injection moulding
  • What moulds we have and how to produce your own mould
  • How to use the injector and the shredder (this one from November 2023)
The course gives you access to use the injector independently and realise your small series production.
